What a bank statement analysis tells you
A bank statement is a month-by-month record of how an account actually behaves — but read line by line, the story is easy to miss. The analyser turns those rows into a picture: how much comes in and goes out each month, whether income is steady or lumpy, where the money is really spent, and which payments repeat. Instead of scrolling a PDF, you get the totals and trends at a glance.
It's the same read a lender, mortgage broker or bookkeeper does by hand. Lenders check that income is consistent and that spending leaves room to repay. Bookkeepers and accountants use it to spot recurring subscriptions, categorise expenses and sense-check a client's figures before they touch the books. The self-employed use it to understand their own cash flow before a tax return or a finance application.
Crucially, the analysis is only as trustworthy as the data under it. That's why every statement runs through the same reconciliation check as the converter — opening balance, plus credits, minus debits, against the closing balance. If the maths doesn't tie out, you're told, so you never base a decision on a misread figure. Upload a PDF — scanned copies included — and the breakdown is ready in seconds. Your file is processed and then deleted, and never used to train AI.
