Client statements, ready for year-end
Clients send PDFs, sometimes a year of them, sometimes photographed. You need the transactions in a spreadsheet or the ledger, and you need to know nothing went missing on the way.
For accountants, Export Bank Statement converts client bank statement PDFs into Excel, CSV, QBO, OFX, Xero CSV or Tally XML. Each statement is checked: opening balance plus credits minus debits must equal the closing balance printed by the bank. When it matches, you can download a reconciliation certificate to keep with your working papers.

Where the time goes
Year-end and tax returns rarely start with a clean bank feed. They start with a folder of statements from a client who closed an account, switched banks mid-year, or only kept the PDFs the bank emailed them.
Retyping those is slow, and copy-paste from a PDF scrambles columns. The bigger risk is quieter: a page skipped or a row dropped, which nobody notices until the balance sheet won't tie.
How it fits a year-end file
Collect the PDFs
Digital, scanned or password-protected, from any bank.
Convert and check
Each statement is reconciled against its printed closing balance.
Keep the certificate
Download proof that the extracted totals tie out, for the file.
Export where you work
Excel for working papers, or QBO, Xero CSV or Tally XML for the ledger.
Built around how accountants work
A certificate for your working papers
When a statement reconciles, download a certificate showing opening balance, credits, debits and closing balance. It shows the extraction is complete. It doesn't certify the statement itself is genuine.
Prior years and closed accounts
There's no bank connection, so it doesn't matter that the account closed in 2023. If you have the PDF, you can convert it.
Phone photos of paper statements
Scans and photographs go through OCR, then the same balance check as a digital PDF.
Every format you're likely to need
Excel and CSV for analysis, QBO and OFX for QuickBooks, Xero CSV, QIF for Quicken, and Tally XML.

Frequently asked questions
Does the reconciliation certificate prove a statement is genuine?expand_more
No. It shows the transactions we extracted add up to the balances printed on the statement. It's an arithmetic check on the extraction, not an authenticity or fraud check.
Can I convert statements from several years ago?expand_more
Yes. We work from the PDF, not a bank connection, so the age of the statement and whether the account still exists don't matter.
What happens to client data?expand_more
Statements are processed and then deleted. They're never used to train AI, and the full list of processors is on our sub-processors page.
