How do I convert a bank statement PDF to Excel?
Upload the PDF above. Every transaction is extracted, then checked: opening balance plus credits minus debits has to equal the closing balance printed on the statement. If it does, the statement is marked verified and you download Excel, CSV or any of the other nine formats. If it doesn't, you are told before you download rather than after.
Does it work on scanned or photographed statements?
Yes. A scan or a phone photograph goes through OCR. Quality matters — a flat, well-lit scan reads better than a photograph at an angle — and the reconciliation check is what tells you whether the result can be trusted.
What about password-protected PDFs?
Upload it locked. You are prompted for the password and the file is unlocked in your browser, so the password never reaches a server. That matters most in India, where banks build the password from a date of birth, PAN or customer ID.
Which formats can I export to?
Eleven: Excel, CSV, JSON, QBO, OFX, QIF, Tally XML, and import-ready CSVs for Xero, QuickBooks and Zoho Books. One conversion produces all of them, so you can take more than one file.
Will the QBO file import into QuickBooks?
Usually, but not always, and this is not specific to us. Intuit checks which financial institution a QBO claims to come from, so some QuickBooks versions reject any converted QBO with error OL-301 — from any tool. If that happens, import the CSV instead; it always works.
Is my statement kept?
No. The file is converted and then discarded — it is not written to disk or to a database, and it is never used to train AI. Every sub-processor involved is named on the privacy page.
