Why this one looks so different
Almost every Indian bank builds its statement password from a single identifier — a date, a customer number, or a name fragment. Central Bank of India is the outlier most commonly reported: two identifiers joined by an @ symbol, giving something like 9029080134@18031998. It looks more like a login than a password, which is exactly why people assume they have misread the instructions.
The separator causes most of the trouble. Copying the password out of an email can pick up a trailing space, and some keyboards on mobile insert a different character that looks similar. Typing it by hand, slowly, resolves a surprising share of failures.
Your Customer ID is shown on the Cent Net internet banking dashboard once you sign in, in the Cent Mobile app profile, and in the account opening documents. It is not the same as your account number, and using the account number in its place is the second most common cause of a rejection.
Central Bank has also been reported as using a plain date of birth in DDMMYYYY for some statement types, so if the combined form fails, try 18031998 on its own before concluding the file is corrupt.
